Какую особенность имеют яблоки Ред Делишес и чем они отличаются от сорта Делишес
Сорт Ред Делишес – прямой потомок, вернее, клон, яблони Делишес. Но благодарить за него нужно не селекционеров, а природу. Это результат спонтанной мутации Делишеса, от которого клон отличается темной окраской плодов.
Яблоки Ред Делишес – описание сорта
Само дерево обладает средними размерами – его высота обычно около 5 м. В молодом возрасте крона у яблоньки овальная. Но чем старше она становится, тем больше округляется, наращивая диаметр до 5 м. Яблоня наращивает мощные скелетные ветви. В целом побеги у нее не сильно толстые, имеют слегка изогнутую форму. Они покрыты красноватой корой, которая на штамбе становится со временем шероховатой.
Листья у яблони характерной овальной формы, с блестящей поверхностью и зазубринками по краям. Но есть еще один нюанс, который поможет узнать клон: у яблони Ред Делишес черешок красный, и центральная жилка на листьях тоже, чего нет у Делишес.
Сорт признан районированным для выращивания в регионах с умеренным климатом. Но есть хорошие результаты выращивания яблони и в средней полосе. Хотя в этом случае на особо богатый урожай все же рассчитывать не стоит. Яблоня имеет среднюю устойчивость к низким температурам, засухе и распространенным болезням культуры.
Особенности плодоношения и вкусовые характеристики
Плодоношение происходит на разновозрастных кольчатках на пятый год после посадки саженца. Если привить Ред Делишес на карликовый подвой, можно ускорить этот процесс на один год. Сорт относится к зимним видам: яблоня цветет почти в начале лета, а созревает в начале осени, в сентябре.
Ред Делишес – самоплодный сорт и при одиночной посадке опылится не более 20 % соцветий. Чтобы повысить урожайность, рядом лучше посадить опылители. Для этого сорта ими могут быть яблони Гала, Глостер, Джонатан, Эмпайр.
Яблоки в среднем около 200 г, конической формы, с небольшой ребристостью вверху. Кожица у плодов очень плотная, а темно-красный румянец к моменту полного созревания разливается на весь плод. На его фоне видны множество подкожных, более светлых, точек. Не подведет и вкус – сорт получил одну из высших дегустационных оценок, 4,6 баллов. Даже недозрелые яблоки сочные, хрустящие и сладкие, но твердые. После дозаривания мякоть становится немного мягче и ароматнее, сохраняя при этом свою сочность. Сорт универсальный, к тому же яблоки могут долго, до полугода, храниться. Единственное, что если держать их до весны, то яблоки становятся немного мучнистые.
